Visiting Transylvania – 1 day trip to Sibiu & surrounding areas (by special request only)
Sibiu is a city with a tremendous historical and arts heritage. We will start early in the morning from Cluj by coach, arrive before noon in Sibiu and visit the Award Winning ASTRA Open Air Museum and the city center with it’s beautifully restored  12th century Saxon heritage.

The ASTRA Museum of Folkloric Traditional Civilization stretches over 96 hectares and an exhibition circuit of 10 kilometers in length hosting original historical dwellings from various parts of the country with interior decorations preserved in the original form, peasant industrial installations, traditional means of transportation etc. All the domains such as agriculture, rising animals, apiculture, fishing and hunting are illustrated by means of characteristic households such as sheepfolds, wine cellars, small factories, etc. Touring ASTRA is like emerging yourself in a true recreation of ancient Romanian lifestyle.

Besides these sectors, there also exists a modern wood sculpture exhibition stretching over 3 hectares, comprising the works of renowned Romanian and foreign artists, inspired from the universe of the traditional village.

 October 6 (Sunday)

Visiting Transylvania – 1 day trip to the Apuseni Mountains  (by special request only)
A person setting foot for the first time in the area of the Apuseni Mountains would have a hard time choosing where to begin their exploration of this seemingly magical land. We will tour the core of this magical land, visit the complex of Roman goldmines at the ancient town of Rosia Montana, and it’s several mine galleries (a genuine travel in time) and take a ride with the “Mocanita”, a narrow gauge mountain train with a steam-powered engine . Thanks to its low speed, a ride in the Mocanita train is a splendid opportunity to take in all the wonders of the surrounding landscape and scenery.
